Coconut Creek Jewish Community

Coconut Creek is located just west of the Florida Turnpike and nestled between Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Margate, and Parkland. The community is relatively small compared to its neighbors, but like its neighbors and all ofSouth Florida, communities are growing by leaps and bounds. Besides having the advantage of a small community, its location, being central to all of the neighboring communities, and house prices are certainly going to get more attention.

The community has an established Chabad synagogue and a newer Chabad synagogue catering to the south of the community. There are Reform synagogues minutes away in Margate just to the west, and the largest Conservative synagogue in South Florida, Bnai Torah of Boca Raton just 10 minutes away near the border of Broward County's Deerfield Beach. Its location next to Boca Raton, Parkland, Margate, and Deerfield Beach allows for lots of kosher, shopping, and numerous kosher restaurants all within 10-15 minutes.

The Chabad has a preschool, the Little Lights Jewish Preschool, and elementary and high school South Florida Jewish Academy, featuring a program for children with special needs, catering the education to the needs of the individual child. Other nearby schools are the Yeshiva Tiferes Torah of Boca Raton and Hadar High School for Girls (10 minutes), Hillel Day School of Boca Raton, Katz Yeshiva High School, and Donna Klein Jewish Academy (12 minutes), Lubavitch Hebrew Academy of Margate (15 minutes).

The Sawgrass Expressway and the Florida Turnpike run through Coconut Creek, and the community is minutes away from I-95. Local parks include Helene Klein Pineland Preserve, Tall Cypress Natural Area, Turtle Run Park, Tradewinds Park & Stables, and Lakeside Park.

Local entertainment includes SkyZone Trampoline Park, Xtreme Action Park, and The Isle casino are located just to the south in Pompano Beach. For those who like bowling, there is the AMF Margate Lanes in Margate just to the west.

The closest airport is Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport (30 minutes), with West Palm International (1 hour) to the North and Miami International to the South (1 hour). There is a private airport just to the south in Pompano Beach.
