Atlanta Georgia is one of the oldest communities in America, and has a population of approximately of 130,000 in the Atlanta area. There are approximate 13,000 Orthodox Jews which accounts for 10%, 15% are Conservative, and nearly 30% are Reform. There are 15,000 Jews originally from Isreal that have made Atlanta their home. If you're Orthodox there's a good chance you live in Dunwoody, Toco Hills, and Sandy Springs. Be aware that there is a 30 minute drive from Toco Hills to Dunwoody and Sandy Springs.

Atlanta has plenty of synagogues including Sefarad, Chabad, Orthodox, Modern-Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform. There are a number of community Mikvahs, as well as Jewish pre-schools, day schools, and Yeshivas. The Davis Academy is the largest reform day school and is located on two campuses. Orthodox schools include Torah Day School of Atlanta, Temima high school for girls, CMCH elementary school, the Weber School, and numerous pre-schools catering to all groups.

Kosher food is readily available in Atlanta. There are two Kroger Supermarkets with kosher deli and bakery counters, as well as two Publix supermarkets featuring a bakery and deli. There are also a number of kosher markets and store offering prepared foods. Kosher restaurants include Chinese, Dairy, Meat options. There's a kosher Krispy Kreme, Cinnaholic, Sublime Donuts, Ducks Donuts, TCBY, and Carvel certified as kosher.

Chabad has a number of synagogues, outreach centers, mikvahs, and pre-schools, and it's just a matter of time before Atlanta has a Chabad Day School and/or yeshiva. Chabad also has locations near or on college and university campus for Jewish students attending those schools.

For activities there are plenty of parks and museums. Outside of the city, Georgia has some of the most stunning forests and mountain ranges. There's also plenty of amuzement parks including Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags White Water, Wild Adeventurs, and Skyline Park as well as numerous go cart parks, trampoline centers, and arcades.

Atlanta has I75, I85, I285, and I20, intersecting with the city and easil connects to I95 (New York/Florida), and I10 (New Orleans/Texas). Atlanta is also the midpoint between New York and Florida when it comes to driving distance. Harsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is located about 30 minutes from most of the Jewish communities. Amtrak also serves Atlanta with the Atlata Peachtree Station. Jacksonville, Florida is approximately 4-5 hours South of Atlanta, and it too has see a recent surge in its population.
