Cherry Hill, New Jersey is located in Western New Jersey and is approximately 17 minutes from Philadelphia, approximately 1 hour's drive from the Lakewood area, and 90 minutes from New York City. The geographic closeness to Major Jewish communities while offering the Suburban lifestyle is what draws people to this community. Lancaster, PA another growing community in neighbroing Pennsylvania, is approximately 90 minutes by car.

The Cherry Hill community has Orthodox, Modern Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform synagogues. There is a Mikvah for Men, Women, and Keilim at the Mikvah Ohel Leah. Chabad of Camden & Burlington offers outreach, Sunday School, a summer camp for kids. For after high school and adult learning there's the Cherry Hill Community Kollel.

There are plenty of schools locally in Cherry Hill and neighboring Pennsylvania. Kellman Brown Academy, egalitarian, has a kosher kitchen and is located in nearby Voorhees Township. For the modern orthodox there's the Politz Day School in Cherry Hill, preK-8, or the Kohelet Yeshiva grades K-8, in Merion, PA. For Orthodox boys, there's the Foxman Torah Institute, in Cherry Hill for High School and Beth Midrash, and the Kosloff Torah Academy for girls in nearby Bala Cynwood.

There'e no shortage of kosher in Cherry Hill (and plently more in neighboring Philadelphia). In the immediate area, you can find, The Cherry Grill, and The Bagel Spot. The JCC in Cherry Hill has the Eastside Bagel Spot. Norhing Bunt Cakes in Cherry Hill carries a kosher certification, as does Pizzeria Halt. Supermarkets with Kosher include the two Shoprite Supermarkets with "the Kosher experience" Nearby supermarkets that carry Kosher products  include Costco Wholesale, Trader Joes, and Wegmans. In nearby Moorestown, there's the Moorestown Mall for shopping.

Cherry Hill is a suburban area, but with Philadelphia nearby there's access to Museums and entertainment. There are plenty of parks and state parks to visit. Highways 38, and 70 connect to Interstate 676 and Interstate 295. Several small and regional airports are located near Cherry Hill. Philadelphia International Airport is located 25 minutes by car from the Jewish epicenter. Amtrak offers service to Cherry hill as does New Jersey Transit offers service to Atlantic City and Philadelphia. Greyhound bus service is also available in Cherry Hill for about $17 per person to New York City (anywhere from 2 hours 45 minutes, to 4 hours traveling time).
