Boynton Beach Jewish Community

Boynton Beach, FL

Boynton Beach is worth the look especially if you still want to get a deal on a home. Anshei Chessed, an Orthodox Ashkenaz synagogue, and Chabad Lubavitch of Greater Boynton Beach, an Orthodox outreach Center within a very short distance of each other, Orthodox Jews have their choice of the synagogue. There are a number of Conservative and Reform synagogues in the Boynton Beach area as well located throughout Boynton Beach.

Besides having a mikvah located at Chabad, Boynton Beach like many other South Florida Jewish communities has a community eruv as well.

Boynton Beach has it's first kosher restaurant which opened in February 2023. Bissli Grill, offers Mediterranean favorites, as well as Shabbat takeout. Additionally Delray which has a Kosher Restaurant and Kosher Market, about 6 miles or 10 minutes south  Boca Raton located a little further South, has plenty of Kosher restaurants as well as Kosher Markets, and a Kosher Supermarket. Recently a Kosher restaurant has opened in West Palm Beach (21 minutes North), with Kosher Chobee. Under construction is massive supermarket, KC Kosher Market, in a former Publix Supermarket, offering kosher meats, cakes, breads, deli, fresh fish, and more.

Children living in Boynton can attend the Cheder Chabad of Florida which started at the Chabad synagogue, and has moved a little south into Delray Beach to a 17-acre new building and campus grades Pre-K to 8th grade. The local JCC has its own preschool at the Mandel JCC of Boynton Beach which is kosher and open to all. Another options is to ravel to the Arthur I. Meyer Jewish Preparatory School a Reform/Conservative school 35 minutes north in Palm Beach, or to one of Boca Raton's Jewish schools where Reform/Conservative, Orthodox, and Orthodox separate boys and girl schools.

Boynton Beach is located just south of the city of Palm Beach, and just 25 minutes from Palm Beach International Airport. Access to I-95 and the Florida Turnpike makes traveling and commuting easy. There's a Tri Rail station and with high-speed rail, travel south to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, or North and West to Orlando, Walt Disney World, and Tampa will be easy and fast.

As is the case in many other parts of South Florida there is plenty of shopping and supermarkets throughout the area, many carrying basic kosher foods. This community is relatively new, only 20 years ago was the Chabad built, so housing prices are more affordable, and like most of South Florida's suburbs, the neighborhoods are clean and well maintained.
