Long before Montoya Circle and before most Jewish communities in Broward and Palm Beach, there was Inverrary. Located in Broward County between Boca Raton and Hollywood is the Jewish community of Inverary. Chabad of Inerarry is the largest orthodox synagogue in Lauderhill. The Chabad and just completed its mikva, expanding to accommodate the increased numbers of children in the preschool. Located adjacent to the synagogue is a city park where the children gather on Shabbos as well as the shul itself which has a large play area for the preschool. If you're looking for Reform synagogues there is one in Lauderhill and nearby Tamarac.
There are many other Chabad synagogogues nearby including Chabad of Tamarac, Chabad of Coral Springs, and Chabad of Margate, all within 10-15 minutes.
Kosher is available in Lauderhill, with Shloimie's Kosher Bakery and Sarah's Tent, a Kosher Market (re-opening May 2022, formally Kikos) located right near the community. A little to the south is Sunrise Pita & Grill Sunrise a glatt kosher restaurant that has been serving the local area for years with a friendly atmosphere.
While there are no Jewish s>hools in the immediate vicinity, Hebrew Academy, where many of the local children attend, and Hollywood Brauser Maimonides Academy are about 20 minutes driving distance.
For shopping you have plenty of options from Publix with a selection of Kosher, and the Kosher frozen section, to Winn Dixie, Walmart, Target, and many more including a number of Dollar Stores, Aldi's and a kosher Krispy Kreme. Broward Mail is located just to the South before 595. The Sawgrass Mall is also located nearby and offers hundreds of stores and concierge parking if you choose.
The community which was established over thirty years ago is located in an affordable neighborhood, for both homes, condominiums, and rentals. There are apartments for seniors, as well as rentals just steps from the Chabad of Inverrary.
